Puppy Training & Puppy Kisses

Now we had dogs growing up, they lived outside and got fed and watered everyday. But other than that, they weren't a major part of our lives. Screen shot 2013-02-01 at 1.42.21 PM

Then, I caught the puppy bug. Nick and I filled out a "puppy questionnaire" in October, and our precious little Cougar was born Nov. 1, 2012. We purchased her from Splendid Goldens in Goddard, Kan. and brought her home about 2 weeks ago.

She is the sweetest thing (I may be a little biased of course), but she has been really, really good so far. Only a few accidents in the house ... and she has the saddest eyes when it happens! She hardly jumps and never barks. Is this normal?

Anyway, she is a licker. And I usually don't mind - until she gets you on the smacker. Then I basically want to puke and/or brush my teeth. Nick doesn't seem to mind, but he's weird.

We're looking for any kind of puppy training advice we can get. Sit, tricks, not peeing on the carpet, you understand.

Best,Robin aka Cougar's new mama
