Valentine's Day

[caption id="attachment_69" align="alignright" width="210"]valentine_MM The BEST V-Day candy.[/caption]

I don't particularly like Valentine's Day, but I don't necessarily dislike it either. Let's talk seriously here for a second.

Pros:

CANDY, chocolate mostly.
FLOWERS, brighten up any home.
FANCY DINNERS, uh yum!

Cons:

WHY DO WE EVEN CELEBRATE IT? I am just thankful Nick and I are in the same state.
DO WE REALLY NEED A FANCY, FAKE DINNER WITH THE REST OF AMERICA? What's romantic about that?
THOSE LITTLE VALENTINE CARDS WE HAD TO SEND ALL OUR CLASSMATES AS KIDS. Why did I have to send one to stinky Phil* (name has been changed for discrepancy)?
NO WAY TO CELEBRATE IT IF YOU'RE SINGLE. I just bought myself pink, red & white peanut butter M&Ms when I didn't have a significant other. (Wait, I did that this year too.)

But - he doesn't have to buy me fancy things or take me on some fancy schmancy candle lit date to prove it. On the other hand, I bought him a gift and did eat all of those aforementioned peanut butter M&Ms. OH! and my daddy still sends me flowers from him and my brother.

I'm a mess.

Best,
Robin
