Post Graduation Reflection

Today we're going down memory lane. A long, long time ago the "Notes" feature on Facebook used to be popular. I had forgotten about this little gem, until Facebook did a slight redesign and now my "Notes" are posted on the side of my profile.

Not too long ago, my friend Chelsey asked if I had completed the "10 Things I Must Do Before I Graduate." I wrote this in March of 2010 ... lots of things have happened since then! I had to step back and really think about it! So here's my re-cap.

1. I never learned how to ride a horse. But Homeboy promises to teach me soon, and has even been shopping for a horse of his own. (I asked for a cute one.)

2. Miranda Lambert and Cross Canadian Ragweed I can check off, I saw them both at Calf Fry in 2010. The very concert that CCR announced they were going to work on solo projects, after Cody Canada got hit in the face with a beer bottle. I WILL SEE STONEY! (Even if it's the last thing I do!) Let's just say I am determined.

3. Never went floating. But I would like to partake in this activity someday...hint, hint.

4. No one ever kissed me at the Top of the World. I'll have to talk to Homeboy about this one...

5. I didn't witness Joe's *first* Grand Champion, but I did see a few other memorable shows. Seeing the pride in his and my mom's face was priceless. I can only wish to care that much about my children one day.

6. AI School - Check! April 2012! Boom.

7. Grizzley's - no! Wah. Closed before I could have some of this famous pie...

8. I have yet to cook a turkey, but I have cooked a pretty dang big chicken! Nearly the same thing, right?

9. Drinking at every bar in Aggieville - If I haven't done this, I've got to be pretty gosh darn close! I'm game for trying again?

10. Two-stepping is something that requires rhythm. I don't have rhythm or very good balance, but I do my best to keep up. I can't be good at everything, okay?

As you can tell, my college years are done. But I think I need to make a new list of things to accomplish. Look for this next week!

Cheers,
Robin

  1. I am making a list as well, in the notes section on facebook. Should it be the next 1 year list?

  2. I think I'll use my blog instead of Facebook. I didn't even know it was still an option. But I think my list will be before I turn 24? It has a nice ring to it...
